Last week, Studio Ghibli announced the launch of their first TV anime series to air in Japan. Hayao Miyazaki’s movies are loved by both children and their parents. The poetry and morale of the films are particularly appealing to parents, teaching children about ecology, friendship and self-development.

The story follows an average Japanese family with two young daughters who discover and find themselves living in a magical forest. During their time in the forest they meet all kinds of fantastic mythical creatures and learn about their surroundings and nature.
