Ready Steady Go Kids has been operating since 2004 and currently runs classes throughout Australia and now the United Kingdom.
Our high quality, physio-designed program teaches children the fundamentals of 10 different sports in a fun, non-competitive, team-based environment.
Our classes run for 45 minutes and 5 sports are covered each term. Classes focus on a specific gross motor, hand-eye/foot-eye and balance activity to complement the sport component. Our program has a structure that is repeated weekly so that participants become familiar and comfortable with the routine.
Ready Steady Go Kids seeks to develop a lifelong passion for physical activity and sport, decrease childhood obesity, increase confidence and prepare children for participation in school and the broader community.
Our program objectives are as follows:
To ensure that every participant receives a high level of attention and support, we maintain a low instructor to student ratio. Our instructors have (as a minimum) a Level 1 Coaching qualification recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs), a current enhanced DBS check, a Safeguarding and Protecting Children certificate and extensive experience in teaching young children.
We accept enrollments throughout the term. So, if you have missed the start of a term don't panic, we might still be able to accommodate your booking. To find out about class availability in your area, email us or call 0800 690 6591.

I take Rebecca to Ready Steady Go Kids every week, I love that she gets to try so many different sports. There are ten sports which change every two weeks. It is a physio based programme so I know it is really good for Rebecca. The teachers are incredible with the kids, great rapport and so enthusiastic. They manage to keep the kids focused throughout and are also very supportive. Rebecca was quite nervous at the beginning so encouraged parent participation until she felt more settled. Rebecca loves going, she gets really excited and has made good friends, it is definitely the best class that I have taken her to.
We went for a free trial class with Ready Steady Go Kids and Luke enjoyed it so much. The best bit for us is the variety of sports on offer. When my son was younger, he was slightly slower with his talking, and the class uses great visual prompts which help integrate all the children into the class. It is a very warm and friendly environment, and the parents can join in if their children need it, but there is no pressure from Kathy. Its fantastic as they treat all the children as individuals and take the pace from them. I wish that these classes had been around when Luke was younger. Lots of the other classes we have been too can get quite "samey" but Ready Steady Go Kids changes every fortnight which really holds the children's interest and keeps them engaged - this is why its the only class we do now. Although it is slightly more expensive that some classes we've been too, I really believe its great value for money, and we are getting what we pay for.
Fantastic to watch our boy grow in confidence and with all sports too.
He was so eager to get to classes each week. wonderful teachers also .
Great service. My son loves it. Instructors take the time to explain activities to children, slowly and repeat if needed to any child who does not understand. Class sizes are not to big which is great, so that the children can all be given full attention by instructors. I also like the fact that parents can be in the class to see what is being taught to their children. I would highly recommend.

Previously a Senior Financial Controller, I sought out a change in career and found Ready Steady Go Kids.
We bought the Master Franchise for the UK and Ireland.
I completed my Beginning Principles coaching course (Level 1 - REP's recognised) and feel I have the best job in the world coaching a variety of skills to children and watch their confidence and skills blossom in the structure of our classes.
It's so motivating watching the delight on the children's faces in class to see how much they are enjoying being active and learning through playing sports.
Callum absolutely loves going to Ready Steady Go Kids - I think the level of the teaching is very high and the best thing is the variety of sports skills that he gets to try. The classes have also helped to develop his listening skills. Matthew takes the class as much as possible, and the parents only then need to join in when needed. They're also very understanding when my18 month old daughter tries to join in, and are very accepting of siblings being there. They have always been really helpful whenever we've missed classes, and offered us make up classes locally. It's the best Sports Class that we've tried, and Callum has great fun.
