Are you looking for a fun way to keep your child and their guests entertained for an hour or 2? Then why not book a Birthday Dance Party?
I have many years experience teaching dance to all ages and abilities and am fully insured and CRB checked.
I frequently teach large classes in Primary schools - from nursery through to year 6. I also teach at many after school clubs and theatre schools working with children and teenagers. I can cater for groups up to 30 depending on venue size.
I am happy to advise on suitable song choices but quite often your child has very clear ideas of their own! I will therefore choreograph a dance to whatever is their current favourite ensuring it is age appropriate for them and their guests.
For younger children, I incorporate dance games into the party and teach a couple of short routines to maintain their interest. I can also do this for older age groups if required.
I am often asked to "host" the party and organize all party games including pass the parcel etc. which I am always willing to do although I don't provide prizes.
If you just require a dance routine taught over one hour, it is a good idea to book the lesson for the last hour or so of the party so that we can then show parents what they have learnt by way of a mini "performance" when they arrive to collect their children.
I will always call and discuss your booking well ahead of time to find out more about your child and their likes. This ensures I deliver the best possible party for your child and their guests. Any special requests for games etc. can be discussed at this time.
I have also taken requests for themed party workshops incorporating drama and singing. If this is something you think your child might enjoy, please give me a call!

We booked Rebecca for my daughters 7th birthday party, and found her to be enthusiastic and very easy to talk to. She was very helpful during the preparation process and happy to take onboard any ideas that we had. The party was brilliant - incorporating a mix of drama, dancing and music, and the children were completely transfixed and occupied for the whole of the party. We had done a lot of work preparing the hall for the party and incorporating a theme of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Rebecca completed the package! She provided fantastic value for money.
Rebecca’s Party for Evie was really, really, really good! Before the party Rebecca was helpful, asked for the kids’ taste in music and was very approachable. On the day of the party, she arrived, engaged the all the kids there (20 of them), gave them name stickers and built a dance routine with them to their choice of song. She even got Evie’s big sister and her friend (both 17) involved with their own routine too. I really do recommend her – I have nothing but praise to say!
Rebecca did a wonderful party for my 5 year old daughter, who loves to dance. It was great that there was flexibility on numbers and Rebecca managed the whole party with consummate ease, which took the pressure off me, allowing me to concentrate on the food and other matters.
The children started off by playing games and then went on to learn a dance routine which engaged the older 9-10 year old siblings as well. She was very good at keeping them all interested and included and even came in to see the children while they were eating.
I can highly recommend Rebecca, based on my experience.
I found Rebecca through Kallikids. I booked her to host my daughters birthday party on Saturday(9th Nov) I couldn't praise her enough. I had booked the local hall and invited the whole class expecting some not to attend, they all did! It didn't phase Rebecca at all, especially as the boys were a bit crazy when they arrived due to it having rained all day so had all been stuck inside! She made sure she met every child and gave them a name sticker, she got started with some games that Ruby had requested before teaching them the dance routine. All of the children were really engaged and genuinely loved it. It was amazing to see them all in sync and loving the routine. Considering we had 30 children I think she did an amazing job Ruby had a wonderful party and the feedback from the parents is on-going. I would highly recommend her.

Rebecca’s love of dance began at an early age when she aspired to be in the dance group “Legs & Co” – popular at the time for their weekly routines on BBC1’s “Top of the Pops”. She went on to train at the Arts Educational Schools in London. Upon graduating, Rebecca travelled the world performing as a professional dancer and choreographer and held the position of Dance Captain for numerous cruise lines, theatre productions and casinos. Rebecca retired from performing at the end of 2006 and now works as a freelance dance teacher and choreographer throughout the Sussex region.
Rebecca has a real passion for all aspects of the performing arts and is a member of Reigate's "Voicerox Choir" who perform annually at The Hawth in Crawley as well as in and around Reigate.
She is also Owner and Principal of Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Hove.
I was impressed from the start with Rebecca's great communication making sure we had everything in place for the party. Rebecca turned up a good half hour early and was very well organised, she brought all the music , we provided the disco lights as that wasn't (yet) an option. Rebecca greeted all the children on arrival and gave them name badges which they loved! She took control from the very start and had a really good rapport with all the children. Lilian loved the dance routine, all the children picked up the moves and really enjoyed it. Rebecca was very adaptable as Lilian wanted party games at the end which she was happy to organise. Rebecca definitely took the stress out of throwing a children's party - she was excellent value and I would highly recommend her.
