  1. babyballet® is a fun award-wining pre-school dance concept for girls and boys from 6 months - 6 years. babyballet dance classes allow babies, toddlers and young children to enjoy the physical benefits of ballet, song and dance in a safe, caring, positive and informal environment. With a real focus on learning through play, the unique babyballet syllabus offers four key stages of ballet and tap classes where every child can build their confidence and social skills, learning manners, discipline and respect while developing their basic ballet technique, coordination, musiclailty, balance, rhythm and posture.

      We started going to classes with Baby Ballet just before my daughter's second birthday. The classes are great fun and have definitely helped with her confidence. Miss Claire is lovely -both the children and adults adore her, and we will be very sad to leave when my daughter starts school. They are very good in that they bring the children on gradually - when we first started, I used to dance with her, but we gradually back away as they grow in confidence. They keep sections of the class familiar, but also change the music regularly to help keep the children engaged. We can't fault Baby Ballet!

      We've been going to babyballet classes for over two years now, and the main reason we go is Miss Claire - she is so good with the children and my daughter absolutely adores her. The whole set up is brilliant, with lovely classes and staff. The classes are fun for the girls - we didn't want to go to a class where it was very disciplined with strict uniform rules etc. My daughter is now fully kitted out with tutu etc, but to begin with she was able to go in her normal clothes so we could see if she enjoyed it before we had to spend the money. Emma has also started doing tap now too. The classes have also helped her with other social skills, such as listening and taking turns. She gets very excited with Twinkle Bear's visits! We are planning on having Emma's birthday party in November with Miss Claire too.

      Both my girls have been to Baby Ballet with Miss Clare and really love it. Milly (4) has now started drama classes with Miss Claire as she wants to continue with her after Baby Ballet. My favourite thing about the classes is that from the first day, Miss Clare knows all their names, and gets to know the children individually. She is very encouraging, and engaging with the children, and strikes a great balance between fun and good behaviour skills, such as listening and following instructions.

      My grand -daughter started babyballet when she was 3 years old. She was very shy and wouldn't join in. Miss Claire was very kind and patient. She is now a 4 yr old with more confidence and loves her ballet classes. Looking forward to moving up to Mini Movers and the christmas show. Thank you Miss Claire.

  3. Claire Westwood

    Miss Claire started up babyballet Bournemouth and Poole in January 2012. With a background in dancing and acting she felt it was a natural progression to move into teaching and pass on her knowledge to the children of Bournemouth and Poole (Miss Claire’s hometown) Miss Claire began dancing at the tender age of 3 herself here in Bournemouth! She loved it so much that she never gave up. At 18 years old she was accepted into the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts where she completed a 3 year course in performing arts. After graduating she was lucky enough to travel the world dancing on Cruise Ships, and in Cabarets and Pantomimes. A keen actress she also performed in many plays which took her to many interesting places around the U.K and the World. Miss Claire is thrilled to be the Franchisee of babyballet Bournemouth and Poole and is extremely grateful to her family and friends for their continued support in her new adventure!

    Kate Davis - Babyballet Teacher

    Miss Kate started dancing in Poole and loved it so much she went on to Bird College for 3 years.  She danced professionally for 8 years in a range of shows on cruise ships, at Butlins, Pantomime’s, the Isle of Wight Festival and touring the UK. In between contracts Miss Kate came home and taught ballet, modern and tap at local dance schools. She is very excited to be teaching at babyballet Bournemouth and Poole.

    Miss Emily started dancing at the tender age of 3 fell in love with it! She was accepted onto a 3 years performing arts course Colin’s Performing Arts School and graduated in 2009 with the award for ‘Best Dancer’. She has since been fortunate enough to travel the world on Costa Cruises for over 2 years where her role was Dance Captain. She has lots of experience teaching ballet, tap and modern and is thrilled to be part of the babyballet team!
