When looking for a sports club for my son, George I felt Little Stars Rugby was very focused on enjoyment and forming skills. George massively enjoys going to Little Stars on a Sunday morning and it's really nice to do an activity together. Parents are their children's partners during warm up activities, practising passing, avoiding and chasing skills. Clinton and his helpers are outstanding, absolutely excellent. They have a strong emphasis on teamwork, achieving together which is great. George really likes Clinton a lot and he is just a great role model. I couldn't be happier with Little Stars Rugby!
I have been taking my son to Little Rugby'for around one and a half years. My son is involved with other sports and clubs, but this is definitely his favourite class! Little Rugby is non contact Rugby for preschoolers and slightly above, there are 3 age groups: Junior Rugby (2 - approx. 3½ years) Mighty Rugby (3½ - 5th birthday) and Mega Rugby (5th birthday to 7th birthday).
In the class they learn the basics of hand to eye co-ordination, throwing, catching, listening and confidence building, as well as kicking a ball, moving from side to side, balance and also doge-ball, they have even started tag Rugby. The instructor - Clinton - is excellent with the kids, he keeps them all entertained and varies the tasks to make it fun and exciting - the parents can be involved as little or as much as they like, which is nice.
I would very much recommend Little Rugby, and the teaching is 2nd to none!

Born in New Zealand but lived in the UK for half of my life - I am passionate about not just Rugby but sport in general and the great things that can come from it for our children. I WANT our little ones to get a head start by developing his or her eye hand co-ordination and team work whilst providing them with social benefits and confidence - which is exactly what the Little stars programme has proven to achieve.
What's really lovely about Little Stars Rugby, is that the parents get to join in with the children and have fun with them too. Clinton is brilliant with the kids, seems to really understand them and knows how to talk to and engage with them. He recognises the individual needs of the child, and will adapt sessions accordingly. He's also a big believer in positive reinforcement and will always recognise not just successes, but improvements and effort too. It's such a fun session and the children develop the confidence of interacting, and learn how to react positively when things don't go the way they'd like them to!
