About Theatretrain - Sutton

For over two decades Theatretrain have championed an exhilarating approach to theatre school education in the performing arts for young people aged 4-18. We teach our children how to Dance, Act and Sing in performing arts classes at Stanley Park High School using experienced and fully qualified teachers .

Theatretrain brings out the best in students, builds confidence, and gives aspiring young actors opportunities of a lifetime via our large scale London shows and our smaller local shows each year.

When they're part of Theatretrain, all young performers are part of something big. We make our training accessible to all and there are no auditions to join Theatretrain. Energy, enthusiam and commitment are our only entry requirements. Our unique, step-by-step curriculum enables all young people, whatever their level of ability, to build a thorough understanding of the performing arts; developing technique, confidence, imagination, teamwork and individual expression along the way. But most importantly your child will have fun and make new friends.

We take a professional approach to training the performing arts to children. All our teachers are highly experience and teach dancing, acting and singing skills in the important wider context of professional theatre - covering storytelling, sound, movement and stage attitude. Our classes are divided for pupils aged 6-9, 9-12, 13-18 and now are new Minis classes are for 4-5 year olds.

Our belief is that theatre should be everyone who wants to have a go and as such we write all our own local shows to ensure that all students get a chance to have more or less involvement as they wish - although we always try and encourage students to challenge themselves and move out of their comfort zone. Theatretrain Sutton have also appeared in the West End shows, the Royal Albert Hall and the O2.

There are also opportunities for our students to get involved in international performances and our Theatretrain Academy is designed to bring experience pupils, aged 15-18, from different centres together on a regular basis to collaborate and progress their individual skills.

Theatretrain have also recently teamed up with Goldmans Management Agency to offer those students who want it the opportunity of being represented by them. Since teaming up with Goldmans many of our students have appeared on stage and television, including the live performance of the Sound of Music which was shown on TV over Christmas 2015.
