About Sussex Keyboard Lessons (Bobby Aspey)
I am a 44 year old male teacher, and I have vast amounts of relevant experience both in music and teaching and learning. I studied a music degree at Bretton Hall; performing Arts University of Leeds. I have taught Key Stage 1 for five years and Key Stage 2 for seven years. I was also music leader; organising shows, performances and Samba classes and outdoor performances in public. I am now a freelance musician and music tutor with my own music school in Mile Oak, Hangleton and Southwick. There I run group classes for up to 10 students, but I also teach one to one for keyboard, Hammond organ and piano. I am currently CRB/DBS checked for the Musician's Union and I am affiliated with several local Primary schools.
I have been playing musical keyboards and in particular, Hammond organ, for 30 years. I also play piano/electric pianos and keyboards and piano accordion. I have performed in many musical projects over the years and currently I lead a Brighton based organ quintet that plays live regularly.
I decided to set up www.sussexkeyboardlessons.co.uk after moving to Mile Oak, just outside of Brighton. I realised that there was very little musical provision or creative outlet in the area, and so I wished to make it a more musical environment for children and adults alike.
All of my keyboard clubs and lessons are run solely by myself.
To join my classes you need no musical experience or musical instrument as I will provide this. I accept student from age 7 to 107.
