Ready Steady Go Kids recommended for Sports Coaching in Epsom

Ready Steady Go Kids has been operating in the United Kingdom since 2013. Based in Surrey, classes have been a huge hit with kids and parents alike. It is an Australian concept that was established in 2004. Ready Steady Go Kids is in approximately 200 locations in Australia. We wish to follow the same path and expand throughout the UK. Franchises are available, with the first franchise area launching September 2015 in the Spelthorne area.

Our high quality, physio-designed programme teaches children the fundamentals of 10 different sports in a fun, non-competitive, team-based environment.

Our classes run for 45 minutes and 5 sports are covered each term. Classes focus on a specific gross motor, hand-eye/foot-eye and balance activity to complement the sport component. Our programme has a structure that is repeated weekly so that participants become familiar and comfortable with the routine. 

Ready Steady Go Kids seeks to develop a lifelong passion for physical activity and sport, decrease childhood obesity, increase confidence and prepare children for participation in school and the broader community. 

Our programme objectives are as follows:

• To introduce nursery-aged and young school children to a variety of sports in a structured, safe, inclusive and non-competitive environment.
• Show children that sport and physical activity are fun.
• Develop and enhance age-appropriate gross motor skills, coordination and correct posture.
• Introduce and reinforce the importance of warm-up and stretching to help prevent injuries and proper hydration.
• Teach the importance of good sportsmanship and teamwork.

To ensure that every participant receives a high level of attention and support, we maintain a low instructor to student ratio. Our instructors have (as a minimum) a Level 1 Coaching qualification recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs), a current enhanced DBS check, a Safeguarding and Protecting Children certificate and extensive experience in teaching young children.
