About Pull the Other Theatre Education

Pull the Other Theatre Education launched in 2012, and since, their highly respected Holiday Workshops and term-time programmes have achieved tremendous results.  PtO is dedicated to imparting fun, excellent, professional training in acting and theatre practice. Their professional, industry accredited acting coaches produce commendable high-standards from their students, honing individual talent, encouraging team work with self-confidence, creative expression and imagination. The programmes consistently create incomparable experiences for their students and audiences, by workshopping and staging Shakespeare and other Classic texts and stories, and through students’ LAMDA exam preparation all facilitated within an inventive and dynamic environment.

Pull the Other Theatre Education is an independent Theatre Education School for students 8 to 18 years. They are dedicated to investing and promoting young people’s exposure to important literary and practical theatre styles. The training of young actors in voice, movement, ensemble theatre-making practice and the study of theatre practitioners is what PtO believes is at the core of contemporary actor training. Within these skill sets the preparation of LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) exams (internationally recognised OFQUAL and UCAS point contributory) are part of PtO’s weekly Acting Company syllabus.

Pull the Other’s professional programmers and facilitators are from the UK and Ireland having trained at highly regarded Drama UK institutions such as The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), East 15 Acting School, Central School of Speech and Drama and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and Universities such as Warwick, Nottingham and Manchester. They’ve worked with such companies as the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Old Vic, The Globe, Theatre Royal Haymarket, major London fringe venues such as Theatre 503, The Old Red Lion and Battersea Arts Centre alongside regional theatres and arts centres.

The ORGANISERS of PtO work tirelessly to bring the BEST out of the participants. The OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM a SHAKESPEARE play seems to be UNIQUE in this area, an EXPERIENCE for the children that CANNOT BE FOUND ELSEWHERE! That’s why we brave the M25 everyday!!
