About Moon Studio Ceramics
I'm a practicing visual artist, producing work in a range of materials including ceramics. I've been facilitating workshops to adults, schools and diverse ability groups since 2009.
These hands on, practical sessions are designed to offer a relaxed yet engaging learning environment for all abilities. Working with real clay you will make everything yourself, from scratch. Ideas can be crafted in 3D form. The studio is used by many, and looking around you will find lots of inspiration in the form of other students work as well as a library of picture books to work from.
As well as encouraging creativity, the workshops also provide education on the basic science behind ceramics materials and processes (where clay comes from and how it works) as well as colour theory and painting. During the making process, problem solving will also encourage critical thinking.
