Ellie is one of the lucky children to be sponsored in 2015. She'll be taking Music classes with Kimbalu Music in Shoreham and you can see how much she progresses over the year.

Update from Sponsor (Date: 25/9/15)

Ellie seems to be loving Kimbalu! She came along to our summer holiday classes and since the Autumn has moved to classes in Southwick where she is settling into a new class really well. She is definitely gaining in confidence to attempt new tasks and happy to join the other children for joint activities.

Here's a photo of her enjoying the 'Up & Down' parachute song with her class, feeling confident now to venture away from mum. Ellie enjoys playing and experimenting with the different instruments we have each week and is just beginning to differentiate between fast and slow as well as loud and soft. The picture below was taken last week when the children had a drum each - she got thoroughly involved with the session and loved free play and discovering the different sounds she could make with her drum.

Update from Mum (Date: 25/9/15)

My daughter has grown in confidence each visit, joining in with the songs and actions more and more. She even gave the Kimbalu monkey a hug last time! She brought a friend along with her which gave her chance to show off her skills! Socially, she's starting to join in more. Her biggest challenge is getting over her tiredness. In the next period she's hoping to learn to jump.

Update from Mum (Date: 25/9/15)

Over the last month Ellie's been to her classes twice. She's really enjoyed learning new songs, new instruments and actions! She knows what Kimbalu is very well now and is more comfortable joining in. The biggest challenge for me is managing health issues and work. Over the last month Ellie's been able to learn more physical activities in the park and Centre Parcs.

Update from Mum (Date: 18/8/15)

Ellie's been to her class once this month. She has really enjoyed the singing and dressing up. The biggest challenge for Ellie was not going to the group when it wasn't on! She's enjoyed learning lots of new songs. Over the coming period we're hoping that she'll be able to participate more in the actions and singing.

Update from Mum (Date: 27/5/15)

So far Ellie has been virtually every week. She is starting to know the songs and really smiles when we jump her on my knee. She loves the class and repeats over again 'Kimbaluuuu'. She has started to sit at the front with the older ones too.

The classes are starting to build her confidence. I see this in her actions as she gets more used to the environment each week.
