My daughter knew Marie from school where she had run some drama classes which she'd attended and loved. She then went on to try several different drama schools but wasn't overly impressed as the classes with. She spoke to Marie about starting her own school and we're so glad that she did. Marie is wonderful - very firm but fair with the children, so they know when to express themselves and when to knuckle down. She has created a very safe environment for them. Being a 12 year old girl and starting high school does bring up some anxiety issues, but Young Creatives has really helped keep up her confidence. Marie is very aware of each child's strengths and weaknesses and none of them get lost or forgotten. Ellie loves going, and never ever wants to miss a week!
My son loves it especially the acting. Its very collaborative and the kids get to discuss what they are doing and talk about what they want to do. Be able to contribute makes all the difference. The kids get on well and that is credit to Marie as she makes sure all of them get a part in whatever production they are doing. They also bring in other people when necessary such as singing teachers and artists so there is lots of variation. Its very enjoyable!
Katrina has had a fantastic week thank you. She looked forward to everyday and told us all about her fun day with you.
Maddison has grown in confidence so much thank you

Marie has 8 years experience as a professional actress and director and also teaches drama in primary schools around Hampshire through her own company Drama For Schools.
My son really enjoys his classes with the Young Creatives - it's a friendly, small group, with a variety of ages, that all work together. Marie encourages them to be independent, and come up with their own ideas and the kids really respond to this.
