I am a Brighton based flute and recorder teacher and performer. With over 25 years' experience and a Diploma in music I offer flute, recorder and tin whistle lessons for all ages and abilities from the age of 5. My current students are aged between 5 and 80! Boosting my students' confidence is important to me, and so is the fun of playing - I am a very patient teacher, with a background in music therapy.
I also offer specialist training to help with tension related problems, like breathing difficulties, tense shoulders, back pain, tennis elbow etc.
I regularly perform: I am the flautist of the Amara Flute & Harp Duo.
I am based in Brighton and can teach children across Brighton and Hove.

My eldest son (10) has had recorder lessons with Udita for four years. He really enjoys his lessons and has gotten very good at the recorder. Udita is extremely reliable which is very important, she has never let us down. She is really sweet and always stops and has a chat with me before and after the lessons. Not only is she really friendly but she is also very professional.
Udita came recommended to me from a music teacher from school. Stella started learning the Recorder and then moved on to the Flute. Stella has been taught by Udita since she was nine years old, they have formed a strong relationship which is not only teacher student but as friends.
Udita has always been very accommodating as far as fitting lessons in when it's been convenient. She is a firm yet fair teacher. And extremely talented at what she does. "I can't praise her highly enough".

I gained a Diploma of Music and Music Therapy in Vienna and have worked with children and adults of all abilities both privately (in Germany, Austria and England) as well as schools and colleges, including East Sussex County Music Schools (Brighton, Lewes and Eastbourne), Eastbourne College, Dharma School Brighton, Brighton Steiner School and Eastbourne Special Schools.
Together with harp player Magdalena Reising I reguarly perform at a wide variety of occasions such as wedding shows, celebrations, corporate events and funerals. Our repertoire is tailor made for the occasion, ranging from medieval, classical, through to popular music.
Joseph really likes learning the flute with Udita and I have been really surprised by how fast he has progressed with her teaching him. Udita is very friendly, warm and welcoming but also very thorough. Joseph is careful about who he warms to and he is completely comfortable with Udita. The financial commitment of lessons was reduced by Udita letting us borrow the different sizes of flute as Joseph developed - so we didn’t have to buy a flute - and she has also has a great supply of music. I think Udita is absolutely great and recommend her without hesitation.
