There are three main categories of a classes :
Adult & child classes up to age 3
Small Classes where adults accompany babies or toddlers to offer a one to one experience with their child giving them confidence in the water as a vital pre-swimming experience. Babies learn to submerge happily, to float on their back, to kick their legs to use their arms in the water. Children who have attended baby classes usually do better in swimming lessons and are more confident under the water. You are welcome to watch a class before committing to a term of lessons.
preschool classes ages 3 to 4.
Parents do not need to accompany the children in the preschool class as the teacher is in the water with the children.
The classes are grouped by age and ability.
Children learn independence in the water by using various types of Buoyancy aids and by the support of the teacher. Many children are swimming before they start school.
After School classes for children aged 4 to 7 years.
Classes range from beginners up to Stage 5ie non swimmers to swimmers able to swim up to 25m in all major strokes.

My two boys attend Tiny Tiddlers once a week and it’s something they really enjoy. Caroline is a fantastic teacher and through repetition and rhythm the children get stronger and stronger and I’ve seen fantastic results in my boys. Caroline makes sessions as challenging as she can by giving the kids obstacles to overcome and if anyone starts to struggle she gives them the confidence they need to overcome these obstacles. I can’t speak highly enough about Caroline, she’s a great teacher and motivator of the children.
My eldest is 5 years old and he’s been swimming with Tiny Tiddlers since he was 7 months and my youngest is just about to start. Swimming each week is something my boy really looks forward to, they play lots of different games, my sons favourite is walk the plank and all the children are very comfortable in the water. This is largely down to Caroline the children’s swimming instructor, she’s so patient, friendly and professional, all the kids love her and she knows just what to do to get the best out of the kids, I personally have seen my son come on leaps and bounds and am delighted with his continued progress.

I worked as a childminder taking my charges swimming as part of their weekly activities. I then decided to qualify as a swimming teacher and found I enjoyed swimming teaching more than child minding so took a change of direction in career. I qualified in 2001 and taught all ages but soon decided I wanted to specialise in teaching young children to enjoy the water and have fun while learning to swim. The lessons also give parents to confidence to take their children swimming and enjoy their holidays with them. I initially worked for other swim school but when the opportunity to hire my own pool came up I decided to set up my own swim school. I also then had the power to decide how many children I wanted in a class so I could keep the classes small and in the appropriate age groups.
Cordelia took her children to little dippers and then trained as a teacher and worked for Water Nippers before joining Tiny Tiddlers in 2011. She is an excellent experienced teacher.
She teaches Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons and evenings.
Jane started working at Tiny Tiddlers in September 2011. She initially came to Tiny Tiddlers as a parent with her first child. She said that the preschool swimming experience was an extremely positive one and the inspiration behind becoming a swimming teacher. She currently teaches Wednesday 10am to 2.30pm. Jane is a very organised teacher and has a lovely quiet calm manner. Her children all love her patient approach to teaching.
Both boys started swimming with Tiny Tiddlers as babies (around 5 months old). They both enjoy it and have never wanted to not go. The swimming lessons are good fun and include singing in the warm up like "The Wheels on the Bus" sung in the pool! Caroline is a good teacher and is fair but not strict, keeping the children under the control which is needed when near water. I like the fact that the swimming pool itself is small as are the classes. I have no complaints at all and am happy to recommend Tiny Tiddlers classes.
