    If your child loves to dance and perform and dreams of dancing as a hobby or future career, Riven Productions Dance Academy is the perfect place to train.

    From all levels of ability,

    each week your child will learn a variety of dance technique from the unique syllabus, progressing at their own pace and receiving certificates and badges when they reach each level. 

    Each term your child will learn a new dance style and theme to practice choreography and routine skills, the history of the dance styles and work toward end of term performances.

    For the really enthusiastic students, our established agency offers casting opportunities nationally and internationally for students who are uber talented and from as young as 5yrs old.

    Castings include tv and theatre contracts, adverts and much more.

      Kayleigh started going to the Dance Academy in January, we thought it would be a good idea as she was constantly dancing and singing. We felt that a mixture of dance style was key for Kayleigh as she didn’t want to concentrate on just one. She’s done so many things since she’s been there, they learnt cheerleading for the High School Musical show, and Bangra dancing. And they don’t just teach them the dances, with the Bangra they learnt about the meaning behind the moves too. This term they’re doing rock and roll, it good that it’s so varied, and Kayleigh always really enjoys it.

      My daughter Sophie has been dancing since she was 3 years old, and dancing at the academy for the last 12 months. She is now 15 and she loves to go there. The academy is really professional and well run, Jennie the teacher is great with the kids and makes sure they are really involved in the routines and can put in their ideas.
      The academy has really helped Sophie's confidence through the dancing but also Jenny has also given Sophie the opportunity to help teach the little kids as she would love to be a dance teacher. All the children come out of the classes with a big smile on their face.

      Bethany has been going to the dance classes for about a year now and really enjoys them. It’s very varied; they do all different styles of dance like ballet, jazz, Bollywood, and put on lots of shows. So far they have done High School Musical where they all dressed as cheerleaders, and The Lion King which was Bethany’s favourite. Jennie is such a lovely teacher, when we started we were welcomed with open arms, and the classes are very relaxed, if a child wants to sit out it's fine, there’s no pressure, she’s happy for them just to watch. It’s so laid back and calm, but professional at the same time, I’d recommend them to anybody.

    The Principal / Director Jennie Sutherland is a professional industry choreographer and dancer and has been for the past 20 years. Jennie originally never set out to be an agent, however her talents of organising dancers were apparent that she decided to set up her agency when receiving a number of contracts from new clients, while working as a dancer.
    Jennie has since travelled and worked all over the world and trained and represented hundreds of dancers, appeared on TV regularly and judged dance and talent competitions across the UK.
    As a professional, Jennie understands the needs of a dancer looking for work, Jennie understands from an agents point of view the elements required of a dancer for castings and as a parent Jennie understands the needs of parents when looking for dance training for their children. With small children Jennie understands the needs from a childs point of view, everyday from her son and daughter!!So the agency and the Academy work hand in hand to nurture new talent and offer a facility that exceeds expectation and breaks the boundaries of dance school training.
