Immortal Imprints in Preston

I decided to write this so that you can all see that we are real people and a real life family run business.

At 11 I met the father to 4 of my children. At 16 we became a couple and at 20 we had our first daughter. At 27 we separated and I reconnected with my gorgeous guy Pete. (We went to school together) Pete already had 3 children from a previous relationship, added to my 4 we had 7 between us. Marriage and babies were definitely not on the cards but Harper Elizabeth decided to change that in 2013 when she exploded into our world. Now with 8 children between us, 6 of whom lived at home with us there was no way on earth that I could go back to conventional work as you can guarantee at least one of them was ill every week.

I had already worked with jewellery and in retail for over 15 years so it seemed a natural progression with immortal imprints. Not that it has been easy, far from it.

Our logo is Lilly-Anne's hand and foot prints which Peter designed. We all have input somewhere into how our business is run.
We are all a little bit mad, very loud and we all argue as much as we laugh but isn't that what families are for? We love dancing and singing, pretty much anything that embarrasses the kids. Some of their mates think our music taste is cool! Get that, were cool parents! Where as our own kids think we're just weird.

Both Peter and myself are tattoo collectors (if you can call it that) we don't drink (why oh why do we not drink?!) and I gave up smoking 3 years ago. So we are really pretty boring.

Peter runs his own landscaping firm (Hardman groundworks) and I work from home creating your keepsakes with Harper. Sometimes she helps, sometimes she tries to help but makes more mess than help.
Some people ask how we cope? I don't know the answer to that, we just do. Smile and grit your teeth is my general answer. It is like running a pre-school and we have to be very organised. Our family is our main focus and sometimes when we do not answer a phone call or a message within 30 seconds it's because we will be making dinner, mopping the floor and stopping the cat attacking the dog all at once.
