I have been teaching guitar to students of all levels and ages for over 20 years. I can teach students just for fun, with a view to taking exams or playing with other musicians.I teach Trinity Guildhall Classical exams, Rockschool Electric Guitar and Bass Exams and RGT Acoustic Guitar exams. All of these are useful if your child is taking music at GCSE level. Lessons are tailored to individual students though I have various courses which cover technique from beginner to advanced.
For Classical Guitar and any exams you will need books but for Electric, Acoustic and Bass Guitar and Ukulele I have my own worksheets.
Aside from teaching I play in a band, a duo and at various times have played in the pit band for musicals by local companies. This has given me a lot of experience of different styles of music. I also teach at two local private schools.
I teach from home in Burgess Hill. Students come to me from Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Cuckfield, Lindfield, Hassocks, Keymer, Hurstpierpoint, Wivelsfield.

I have found Graham to be an excellent teacher for my son James - he has been teaching him for approximately two years now. His lessons are very organised and structured and he always has a lesson plan ready. My son has a folder with different sections such as practice excercises, scales and reading of music and each week's lesson - this enables me to see what they have achieved on a week by week basis. Graham is so professional. He's just started putting James up for Grades, for which he got a merit so we were thrilled.
Graham teaches my son Jack at his home, and so far we are really pleased with the progress he is making. As Graham has a very musical background, and is in a band himself, we feel he has the right experience. He is teaching him very well and Jack learns something new every week.

I have played guitar for 35 years and have taught for around 20. In addition to teaching I have played in bands, duos, pit bands and solo. I still love music as much as when I started playing and I feel this is reflected in the way I teach. I teach all styles including Classical, Acoustic, Electric and Bass Guitar, Ukulele and Mandolin.
My son Ben attends weekly guitar lessons with Graham and has done so for two years now. It’s something he looks forward to every week and has recently achieved his second grade certificate in guitar playing, which made me very proud. Ben decides with Graham what to learn and can now play some of his favourite songs and it’s great to see him getting positive results out of the hard work he puts into guitar playing.
