Michelle is a hard working lady who is always putting 110% in to everything she does. Maisy, my daughter has been going to ballet for over a year now and loves going and seeing all the staff and friends. She really enjoys doing her ballet and is eager to tell everyone what she has learnt from her class.
Michelle is very approachable and always has a smile on her face. She will try and answer any questions you have and if she can't she will always ask someone and find out for you.
Michelle always adapts towards the children and will do things within her classes that she knows they would like i.e: Frozen is a big hit at the moment. I think she is a lovely person, confident and always happy and helpful.
My daughter has been a pupil of Michele Baker for the past 12 years and her commitment to dance has been due to the enthusiasm and encouragement given by Michelle. She has a calming manner and has always ensured that Olivia has reached her full potential which has been reflected in her examination results. I believe that having the opportunity to perform on a stage from a young age has developed her confidence and she is now very comfortable with presenting her work at school.
I am delighted that at 14 my daughter is still eager to attend class every week and that she has been given the opportunity to extend her dance skills by assisting with the younger classes. I would certainly recommend Michele to any mother wanting their child to learn in a friendly and positive environment. I think she's fantastic!
My daughter Jess has been taught by Michele since the age of 2 and a half, and still attends the school today. Jess has been in local dance festivals and it also followed on to GCSE level in Dance. My daughter Holly recently started and dances on a Saturday morning, loving the ballet and singing Frozen! Both girls will be in the show later on this year which the whole family looks forward to as it is always professionally done and has always been a great show with varied tap/modern/ballet and song. One of the nicest things about the school is once a pupil is in the school they stay, so we watch the children grow and follow each other within the grades. Each child thrives at the school and it is nice that it is girls as well as boys that dance and both are treated equally. The teachers are all very nice and kind and go out of their way to help and nurture each pupil. Would highly recommend.

Michele has been in the industry for over 40 years having started dancing at the age of 2. She has performed nationwide within musical theatre and has choreographed many performances both professional and amateur. Including both performing and choreographing shows in the West End.
Michele started teaching in 1989 and qualified as a teacher in 2006 with the British Ballet Organisation having trained first with Dawn Jordan School of Dance and then moving to Doris Isaacs School of Dancing for the remainder.
Michele became joint principal in 2010 at Elite Dance and thoroughly enjoys sharing the knowledge that she has gained throughout her extensive career, with the pupils.
My 2 girls aged 4 &7 have both attended Elite dance in Brighton since they were 3. They both do tap & ballet and LOVE it! My eldest has done really well in all her exams at Elite dance. I like the way at the end of each term I can go and watch the baby ballet class which my youngest is in and you can see how they have developed. Every other year the whole dance school put on a production and it is fantastic to see your children on stage. They have both made friends and their confidence has grown and this is down to the teachers and the way the dance classes run.
