Drusillas Park in Alfriston (East Sussex) is full of weird and wonderful creatures and one of the most impressive is Basil the Burmese python.
Basil recently shed his skin which measured over 5 meters which is as long as three of their keepers!
Pretty impressive hey?
23 year old Basil is the largest snake at the award-winning zoo in East Sussex where kids can learn all about wildlife while having a great fun day out.
In the wild, these impressive reptiles live in the rainforests of south-east Asia. They can grow up to seven metres long and they shed their skin approximately four to five times a year to grow.
We are sending one of our KalliKids members along to visit Drusillas this week. Watch this space for her review.
